Peak Power Wash uses a technique called “Soft Wash”
“Less is more” applies when it comes to washing the siding of your house, composite deck, wood deck, or fence. Soft washing simply means to clean the exterior surface of a home or deck using a much lower amount of pressure. The high pressure method is a thing of the past in the pressure washing and power washing industry. You can reduce harm to the surfaces using a low pressure and higher volume of water technique, along with the correct combination of detergents. This produces significantly better results.
High Pressure can be Dangerous
If you use high pressure it can be dangerous, and cause irreversible results to the surface being cleaned. It can also cause problems to what’s underneath the surface. The force of high pressure can separate or break the interlocking seal of vinyl siding. If water were to get behind the siding it would be a perfect breeding ground for mold. You should take precaution when cleaning asbestos siding, as breakage of this material is hazardous.
Also, too much pressure used on a composite or wood deck, wooden fence or cedar siding surface can cause damage. For example, scarring or splintering can occur, leaving you with an unsightly mess and costly repairs. Window screens and the vapor barrier seals around windows can also be broken when high pressure is used. These are all non issues with our low pressure – soft washing technique since we take special care and precautions on every job we do.
