The Holidays are in full swing, and Maryland is lit up in festive colors all across the state! To help you celebrate, we have compiled some of our favorite Maryland winter wonderlands!
Downtown Annapolis
Our own state capitol is a beautiful place to spend a day for the season. The classic architecture of the many shops adorned in festive lights while carols play out of every storefront will put anyone in the spirit. The harbor is lit up with its own lights and many of the ships and sailboats within are lit up too! Downtown Annapolis and the harbor are must-sees for the Holidays.
Deep Creek Lake Area
Deep Creek Lake is Maryland’s largest lake and hosts a plethora of events and attractions. Lit up in lights and festive décor is Wisp Ski resort for some action-packed winter-time fun. Just down the road is Swallow Falls, which looks like an enchanted forest from a picture book in the wintertime. If you’re craving some outdoor adventure this season, this area is for you!
Saint Michael’s
If you’re feeling like some small-town Christmas enchantment by the bay, Saint Michael’s offers this in so many incredible ways. Featuring a storied history dating back to the war of 1812 and beyond, Saint Michael’s hosts a lighthouse, many artisan shops and restaurants, and a festive town square. For a holiday on the bay, stop by this magical town.
Downtown Sykesville
What list of Maryland winter wonderlands to visit would be complete without downtown Sykesville? None, we think! Sykesville is home to several delicious gourmet restaurants, artisan shops, and Sykesville’s small-town vibes invite you to come, see, and stay as you walk the twinkling streets. The storefronts are lit up and adorned with garland, and the parks are open for all to stroll through.
